The Stone Tooth

This stone promontory rises about 1000 ft. from the swamps of the Narlmarches. There is a small tarn on the west side of the Stone Tooth and a worn road carved on the east side.

Durgeddin, ancestor of Thurigin, came here and built Khundakar, fleeing an orc assault. When they came to this place about 500 years ago, the dwarves carved out a number of chambers in three different levels. The Forge of Fury was placed on the lowest level, where Durgeddin pounded out weapons to be used against his ancient enemies. Unfortunately, those enemies caught him unawares, slaughtering him and his kin.

The fey speak of a group of fierce, elite orcs who call themselves the Gundan-zug, or the “Ghost Face Orcs,” that now run the top level of the Khundakar. The name refers to the white face paint that marks their numbers. These are the descendents of the orcs that originally slaughtered Durgeddin and his kin. They are currently led by a powerful ogre named the Great Ulfe. Little else is known of the levels below, though the fey say something hunts the woods at night besides the orcs.
